July Wallpaper of the Month

The end of June into July brought some of the most challenging days and nights for myself and my family. The emergency hospitalization of my twin sister meant many things. The sense of absolute helplessness, acute anxiety, and being plunged into a vortex of “but will she be okay?”

With a grateful heart I can say she is in recovery, as long and tumultuous as this path will be, she wouldn’t have had such a miraculous recovery without the medical excellence at Lutheran Hospital. This month’s wallpaper is truly a love letter to the loving, specialized, care of the nurses and doctors. Kristen, Tina, Grant, Trevor, Lauren, and the absolute best, Heidi. These nurses treated my sweet, strong sister with utmost dignity, sensitivity, personal attention, and compassion. Thank you for caring for my sister in her deepest need, and thank you for always offering me a hug, a drink of water, and comfy chair. You were angels among us, and you left all of us better than you found us. For that, I am forever grateful.
