June Wallpaper of the Month

Good god it’s June. Can someone point me to the person responsible for this vortex? Between graduations, vacations, food poisonings, seasonal illnesses, family drama, and binging Game of Thrones, May was a blur. I think I remember my own birth better than this past month.

The Wallpaper of the Month was created to ground us in times like this, where life is flying at a million miles a minute, or even in slow motion. That despite the webs we have ourselves spun into, we can remember the nuances of the moment, and month, we are in.

Everyone has something they love about the early summer. That “school’s out” feeling, the long, warm days, and of course, vacations. My choice for this month’s wallpaper is a celebration of one of the greatest summertime pleasures -- peaches. There is something about a stone fruit that makes me go, “SQUEEEEE!” The smell of a raw, uncut peach, it’s fuzzy little roundness, and duh, the taste. I love peaches so much that my high school senior quote was about peaches!

“You can be the ripest, juiciest peach in the world. But there is still going to be someone who doesn’t like peaches.” -- Dita Von Teese

That’s a lot of philosophical gusto to put on a peach, but you get me. Anyway, that was a major brain dump. Enjoy June, enjoy peaches, and enjoy the wallpaper this month!
