Dearest December, how I’ve missed you. This incredible photo by Anna Kubel is almost militantly cute, and embodies everything I love about December. The unmatched joy of decorating a tree, giggling with your siblings all the way down to the floor. As I have gotten older, all the floor hitting comes out of desperate relief of aching feet. And can we talk about the also militant cuteness in the clothing? Good god, it almost makes me want children.

Anyway. Like so many of my previous wallpapers, this one depicts the upcoming phase of the new normal: small celebrations amongst our immediate households in hopes of keeping our loved ones safe. I hope we don’t have many more holidays like this. But in the mean time, let’s focus on making just as wonderful of memories of love and gratitude this December.
