Happy September! Good God, that came alarmingly fast. I have mentioned in previous wallpapers around this time of year how Fall has a very special place in my heart. And in my mind, Fall starts in September. Not only is Fall one of the singular best seasons of the year, I get very excited about the beginning of the academic year, despite being 3 years post-graduate.

At this point, I think every student has had their first few days in the classroom, and the thought of those early days makes me giddy. The spikes of excitement at the prospect of new beginnings, the hope of starting something different, and meeting new people would give me energy highs lasting for weeks. As a lifelong learner, it only makes sense to dedicate this month’s wallpaper to my absolute favorite element of learning: the texts. To this day I struggle with the temptation to snatch a syllabus, buy the required reading for classes I would have loved to take, and DIY a continued education. That Amazon shopping cart would look like a blend of English, Political Science, Economics, Women’s Studies, and Art History books.

I have always been grateful for my education and my natural curiosity, and hope all of the students and life-long learners like me absorb themselves this energizing moment for the mind.
