February Wallpaper of the Month
Happy February, everyone! Is it me, or did January feel like it was two months? In the beginning of this month I was on vacation, to return to a few weeks of wrapping up my old job, and transitioned into my new role. It has been quite the time of change, but I always love coming back to this treasured series I do here on the blog.
This month’s selection is an obvious wink to the upcoming holiday, but serves as a gentle reminder of the opportunities this Hallmark holiday brings. When I think of Valentine’s Day, I think of the women in my family. How my grandma and mom would write my sisters and I cards that reminded us of our unbreakable connectivity. My mom’s note, accompanied by a Starbucks gift card, which would redeem the gold that was an over-rated latte. My grandma’s, which would often-times turned into a persuasive trip to the pet store, where my sister and I would pick out a new pet. Usually a fish.
This month’s wallpaper selection is the kind reminder of the power of a hand-written note. I have a loving relationship with hand-written luxuries, as seen is previous posts, but especially during Valentine’s Day. We are quick to think of “our person” during the Valentine’s Day season, but rarely the maternal, fraternal, and paternal relationships who have sustain us all the wile. To whomever has been there for you, whomever you love so deeply, send them a note this Valentine’s Day. And I hope this wallpaper reminded you of that. Love to you all, and see you next week!
